What is a Best Before Date?

Automatic and industrial printers to print the “best before” date on any product. Learn about all Videojet technologies.

According to the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA), the best before date is the date after which a product loses its integral qualities, and in other words changes its colour, flavour or texture. Nevertheless, consumption is not dangerous.

It is a date recommended by the producer or manufacturer but not a definitive date for consumption. Videojet offers a coding machine to print best before dates on your products.
